Crap Hound #8: Superstition

by Sean Tejaratchi

Crap Hound #8: Superstition is a softcover book that contains hundreds, if not thousands, of vintage, bold graphic images. Issue #8 visually explores the popular meaning, cultural ideals, and historic symbolism of superstitions from the obvious to the obscure. Black cats, butterflies, brooms, apples, locks, moons, hats, knives, bibles, tea, gifts, candles, keys, and much, much more.

Edited and designed by Sean Tejaratchi, Crap Hound is the seminal mixture of social commentary and somewhat overindulgent graphic design, plus the usual random bonus pages, and copyright-free typefaces.

Between a brief introduction and the end credits, Crap Hound is pure imagery. Each page is filled with high-contrast art, carefully taken from vintage catalogs, advertising, obscure books, and found ephemera.
